Hamden Personal Injury Lawyers
As a lawyer with more than two decades of experience in representing people, John Naizby has made it a priority to protect Hamden families who have been adversely affected by the negligence of others. It can be extremely difficult to stand up to insurance companies and large corporations that will do everything in their power to maximize their profits. At Naizby Law, we pride ourselves on doing out utmost to help Hamden residents who have been wrongfully injured get the full compensation they deserve.
Because we only take on the most deserving cases, we’re able to ensure that our team’s caseload is manageable. This way, we can give each of our clients the attention they deserve. If you or a loved one has been hurt by an injury or assault, we will work with you to hold the responsible parties accountable and ensure you have a secure future.
Most importantly, we believe it is essential that we do our part to make our communities safer, because this is our home too.
Our Attorneys Understand Hamden.
While John Naizby was born in upstate New York, he has proudly called Connecticut his home for more than two decades. His previous experience representing large insurance companies means that John understands how these companies think. Ever since, he has devoted himself to representing individuals who might not otherwise have the resources to take on such large corporations.
Hamden, referred to as "Land of the Sleeping Giant," was recently named one of Money magazine’s best places to live in the United States. However, with the Wilbur Cross Parkway running through Hamden from New York City in the south all the way to Hartford in the north, we get a great deal of commercial and thru traffic. This means that despite its small size, Hamden sees more than its fair share of accidents.
Being injured in a car accident can have serious, long-term consequences. Our streets are congested with ridesharing vehicles (such as Uber and Lyft), delivery trucks, municipal vehicles, construction vehicles, and tractor-trailers. If you have been involved in an accident with a commercial or government vehicle, then you know that different laws apply. In addition to the driver of the vehicle being at fault, there might also be negligence on the part of the company or agency as well. This means that such incidents can be much more difficult to litigate.
Some of Connecticut’s most dangerous roads run directly through Hamden. This includes Route 10, which experienced more than 4,500 accidents in 2012, 181 of which were within Hamden city limits. The heavy traffic not only poses dangers to other cars, but to motorcycles, bicycles, and pedestrians as well. John Naizby himself was injured in a bicycle accident, so he understands how important it is to keep our streets safe.
Hamden also has a strong reputation for its higher education opportunities. In addition to Quinnipiac University, home to over 8,000 students, there is also Mount Sacred Heart College and Paier College of Art. Universities around the country are experiencing an increase in reported crimes, including sexual assault and harassment. Universities and colleges have a responsibility to provide a safe environment to their students, often referred to as a "safe harbor." If you have been the victim of any kind of assault in a university setting, you could have a case against not only the perpetrator, but against the university as well.
With an office right here in Hamden, in addition to our locations in North Haven and Madison, Naizby Law understands this area. Our personal injury attorneys take the time to get to know our clients in order to provide the best possible representation.
